I do see the connections they often make and think its pretty awesome when they come up with words that I definitely didn't 'teach' them or say ... thank yourdehatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05893901831210736223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8805323468407241809.post-2682537149684551432011-01-25T14:49:15.849-05:002011-01-25T14:49:15.849-05:00Hi! Last year I discovered this "unschooling" thing from the blog of a guy who taught himself Japanese! I liked it and began researching and I found your blog. I love your insights and Supernatural as well! (they had me at two hot guys fighting demons)

Aniway, I wanted to comment today because I began too learning Japanese because I wanted so badly to understand Anime (that´s how I found that guy´s blog) and your writing has reminded me of the reason why I began learning it in the first place. I learned English as well by reading tons and tons of fanfics.

I attended a language school for two years and quit because they were at a really slow pace and I felt that I could do more for myself.

Since then I´m on my way to learn French (already fluent but no native) and German (I started this month) on my own! And Japanese!

Sorry for this very long comment!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8805323468407241809.post-38580758567924440322011-01-24T17:00:56.101-05:002011-01-24T17:00:56.101-05:00Just found this blog, and I'm so happy it exis...Just found this blog, and I'm so happy it exists! I agree that there is learning taking place in everything we really enjoy. And now I want to start watching Supernatural.
